Recruiting players into college teams is a highly labor intensive process. Recruiting Pro have been helping ease that load for colleges across the US for a number of years now. One of the most time consuming tasks is keeping details of prospective recruits current.
In the past this has been handled by posting literally thousands of paper-based forms all over the country. Recruiting Pro wanted to make this task easier for both the potential recruit and for the colleges themselves by allowing updates to be made by the recruit themselves, directly into the college's database.
Because this solution needed to be able to be rolled out to multiple colleges, all hosted off the same server, we designed a system which used a common code core, then separate configuration and css files for each college.
As each field on a form is changed jQuery has been used to perform 'micro-saves' of that data back to the server - after all we know what the attention span of the average teenager is, so we wanted to ensure that as much data could be captured as possible.
Recruiting Pro's designer Scott does an amazing job of creating custom artwork, to a set theme, but consistent with the log and imagery of each of the colleges who use the system.
